Practiced Plastic Surgery 28 years in Newport News, in solo practice for most of those years before joining the Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads in 1995.Directed, Peninsula Craniofacial Anomalies Clinic, where with numerous generous volunteer Dentists and dental specialists, Speech Pathologists, Audiologists, ENT Doctors, and Anesthesiologists, and with the support of Riverside Hospital and the Newport News, Hampton, and Williamsburg Schools special needs programs, care was provided to 500 children with cleft lip and palate and other deformities of the face and hands.Directed the Riverside Hospital Laboratory for Microvascular Research for 20 years with basic research on wound healing, cleft palates, and fingernail growth and development. Author of 62 medical papers on wound healing, new surgical procedures of the breast, face and hand, and case histories of medical problems. Past President, The Va. Society of Plastic Surgery, Riverside Dept. of Surgery, and the Mary Immaculate Hospital Dept. of Surgery. Served on the Editorial staffs of The Virginia Medical Monthly, The Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Journal of Surgery, Gynecology, and Obstetrics. May, 2010 was a volunteer surgeon with the Notre Dame Hospital Group in Haiti. Currently, a writer with the recent publication of fiction novels, The Missile Game, The Zombie Game and third book in the series, The Ebola Game, to be published in January 2016. The novels are action thrillers that follow the Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Scott James, as he fights to free himself of a double murder conviction and to save his hospital from a terrorist bomber. In the Zombie Game, Dr. Scott James, goes to Haiti to help following a earthquake and gets caught up in the underground zombie culture that tries to make him a zombie. In the third book in the series, The Ebola Game, a terrorist bomb at his hospital released the deadly Ebola virus. Dr. James learns of a secret Ebola immune serum in Haiti and returns, this time enlisting the help of the zombie culture.

Meet J. MARSHALL GREEN, III

Dr. Green is a well-known surgeon, educator, and prolific author. With his experience, he actively educates surgical trainees by serving as an assistant professor at three major medical centers. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and is fellowship trained in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Not only is Dr. Green an accomplished Facial Cosmetic Surgeon but he also is actively involved in complex facial reconstruction for our nations wounded warriors and our service members and veterans with Head and Neck Cancer. He has Cosmetic Surgery Procedures Certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health Professions. He maintains cosmetic surgery privileges at several local hospitals.

Dr. Green lectures both domestically and internationally with previous trips to China as well as Australia, and he has several upcoming trips such as Saudi Arabia this Spring. He has presented at dozens of meetings, written multiple articles and book chapters, and is currently the editor for an upcoming Head and Neck Reconstruction textbook. Dr. Green holds academic appointments at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, University of Miami- Miller School of Medicine and Naval Medical Center Portsmouth where he serves as the Associate Program Director for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as the departmental Laser Safety Officer.

Dr. Green serves as the Chairman for a unique multidisciplinary Facial Plastic Surgery Microvascular Reconstruction Free Flap Course at USUHS as well as a presenter at the Naval Post Graduate School annual Mock Board examination and the Robert E Marx Annual Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Reconstruction & Medicine Course. His other courses include Applying Facial Cosmetic Surgery Principles in Complex Facial Reconstruction as well as a Microsurgical Hands on Nerve Repair Course given annually at the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Scientific Meeting. Of all the areas that Dr. Green is trained to operate, his greatest interest lies in all aspects of Cosmetic Facial Surgery and Complex Facial Reconstruction. He takes great joy in making patient’s look and feel their best.

Darlene Jennings, LMA

Licensed Master Aesthetician 

Darlene is a Licensed Master Aesthetician with more than 30 years of experience in aesthetic skin care. Darlene set up an aesthetic skin care spa at Oyster Point Oral & Facial Surgery in August 2012 and currently manages Numa Spa. She is certified in hair laser removal, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), Cool Sculpting technology, and Reaction Radio Frequency skin tightening and body contouring. She is the Cool Sculpting team leader, and also specializes in facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Reaction, and laser services. Darlene maintains her commitment to staying current on all aspects of aesthetic skin care and products. Darlene is dedicated to providing services to her patients with a comprehensive plan specific to their needs and goals.

Christi Siler

Registered Nurse

Christi Siler, RN joined the Numa Spa team in 1014 after 14 years specializing in the treatment of various aesthetic issues as well as the treatment of both varicose and spider veins. She is an accomplished sclerotherapist and served as a keynote speaker at the Mid-Atlantic’s “Current Concepts in Vascular Therapies” Conference. Christi takes great pride in assisting her patients feel more confident though the use of sclerotherapy as well as Botox and dermal fillers. Her experience gives her the unique qualifications needed to provide our patients with the highest quality of care.

Ashley McHale

Ashley McHale joined our team in 2018 after spending 10 years as the Director of Education at The Bell Tower Spa in Wyomissing, PA.  As our front desk coordinator, Ashley manages the front office, schedules appointments, answers phone calls and greets our patients with her wonderful attitude and beautiful smile!!

Roberta Cotton

Roberta Cotton is a Licensed Master Aesthetician with over 5 years experience.  A graduate of Miller-Motte College of Aesthetics in Cary, NC, Roberta is certified in microneedling, laser hair removal, IPL  (Intense Pulsed Light), CoolSculpting, RF skin tightening, as well as facials, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and waxing.  Passionate about skin care, Roberta stays current on new procedures and products to meet her patients goals.
