How RF Microneedling Works
The treatment works through your body’s three-phase wound healing response. During the inflammation phase, the micro-injuries and heat trigger your immune system to flood the area with blood flow, growth factors, and healing cells. On treatment day, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and a topical anesthetic is applied to ensure maximum comfort. Once the area is numb, your provider uses the Matrix Pro device to deliver precise microneedles and controlled radiofrequency energy to the treatment area. You may feel warmth from the RF energy and slight pressure, but most patients report minimal discomfort. Treatment typically takes 90 minutes to 2 hours minutes depending on the areas treated. After treatment, a cooling serum is applied to soothe the skin.
